Disappointed in the customer service and room cleanliness. We arrived early for our post-cruise stay, and were told checkin was at 3 or we could check back before them to see if our rooms were ready, or we could pay an early checkin fee of $50, but didn’t want to pay that so asked to have our bags stored and had to pay $2 per bag because they don’t have a dedicated room for luggage, but yet they stored our bags in a secured conference room so they do have a room to store luggage which seemed contradictory and confusing. You either have a room or u don’t. So silly the way it was explained by the staff and made it very irritating as a customer. We also couldn’t get checked in until exactly 3pm when the front desk person got off of work. It felt like she didn’t want to help any of the customers, just kept telling all of us that were waiting in the lobby she couldn’t do anything, but magically at 3pm, all the rooms were ready. But if we paid $50 for early checkin a room was ready. Our rooms on the 2nd floor “seemed” clean but smelled so musty, there was a soda left on the countertop, and the carpet on floor 2 hallway was gross. We were moved to floor 5 and that seemed much better so maybe floor 2 needs to be updated? Anyway, poor communication from the front staff and room was not being up to par for a Wyndham is the reason for this review. Disappointed! Next cruise I will stay at Tru by Hilton where we had a much better experience during our pre-cruise stay.
