The location is not the best for a tourist. Lots of construction in the area. Not super close to restaurants and shopping. It’s not a long walk but there are other places closer that might be more convenient. The hotel as a whole was clean and comfortable with a good gym. My main complaint is we were on the top floor which was ridiculously hot (maybe the laundry facilities are up there) both in the hallway and our room, and the air conditioning did not work. We had to have a fan on and the window open all the time to make it tolerable. The staff in all areas were very friendly and the breakfast was good and reasonable.

Relaxed stay!
Our stay was excellent! I would’ve given 5stars if the hot tub was at a hotter, or more warmer comfortable temperature. Other than that a very relaxing, enjoyable & comfortable night was had. Service at reception is impeccable.

Fantastic Room and very comfortable bed and amazing breakfast and very helpful staff, they are building a new road outside the hotel that you can't hear but pavements are very rough

I liked that there was a spa and pool with sauna and steam. There is a distinct issue between noise from rooms and late night arrivals and parties. It was a solid place but a bit dated in the twin room. No safe in the room. Good attentive staff.

Hotel was just what we needed. There was a lot of road works so sadly the bus stop outside was out of use, although not the hotels fault. We were disappointed the windows didn’t open at all as the room felt quite stuffy especially at night, and the air con wasn’t good, but no other problems.

Glasgow hotel
I believe this hotel was not available to book for a couple of years due to a "Government contract." I therefore hadn't stayed there for a few years. Reception and bar area look to have been refurbed, looking good. Pool area is great, with sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Room is fine and has a large bright light in the middle of the room, unlike most hotel rooms which can be quite dark. Breakfast which was free, was absolutely delightful. Very tasty food, including the haggis which people must try. My only gripe would be the size of the plate. Alan Partridge would not be happy.

This is a lovely hotel in terms of facilities and staff. The level of service was great, the rooms spacious, spotless and comfortable. The area is ok - not that well lit at night. The breakfast was immense

Super surprised at quality of this hotel. Usually stay closer to OVO but i think this place is best value. Spacious room. Lovely lobby. Excellent breakfast. Great staff. Its in an urban and gritty setting but walkable to SECC and city centre. Has a great pool and gym too if you're up for that. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely return when back in Glasgow.

Good for the Hydro and Central Station
Good location for OVO Hydro, with friendly staff and it was clean. Our particular room had a couple small DIY issues more in detail and refinement rather than a big problem. I'd use it again.
