The property consists of two areas, The Ocean Villas & The Ocean Suites. The picture on Expedia.de is of the Ocean Villas. The Ocean Suites consist of 2 high story towers. When booking through Expedia.de, you see photos of rooms at the Ocean Villas. We thought we would be renting a villa. When we arrived, we were surprised to learn our room was in the Ocean Suites. It was a two bedroom/two-bathroom unit, exactly as we booked but not in the Ocean Villas, like we thought we had booked.
The room was clean, spacious, and included a full kitchen. The view from the balcony is less than appealing as you look upon a large construction area.
The staff were kind, polite, and accommodating. We had some minor maintenance issues which were quickly repaired. Housekeeping did an outstanding job cleaning the room.
The restaurant is located near one of the pools and faces the water. The view is beautiful! Breakfast buffet is good, with a combination of western and Asian options. Cappuccinos, lattes etc. can only be purchased at an extra cost. This was not mentioned on Expedia.de. And is very uncommon for 4/5-star resorts/hotels.
Check-out was ok until the duty manager asked us to remain on the property until someone from housekeeping inspected our room. Our family has stayed in numerous 4/5-star resorts/hotels over the years, all over the world; never, ever been asked to stay on site until someone “inspects our hotel room”.
Given the issues above, we will not stay there again.
