Lovely hotel, right on the river. Great breakfast and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a very nice stay at the Lion. It's a fascinating old building in a great central location. The rooms are basic, but very clean and the bed was comfortable with great pillows. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is a little frayed around the edges, but that adds to the character! The staff were all lovely and very helpful.

Nice and easy to check in; comfortable bed and quiet at night. Only issue is the shower has tremendous pressure however water can go everywhere if not extremely careful.

Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room with toiletries included. Short walk from merry hill shopping centre.

Couldn’t fault the place. And was so cheap too. Staff was friendly and so helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. We will be returning to this hotel.
