The childrens play area and beer garden were great for keeping children occupied. The staff were friendly. The breakfast options were great and good value for money. The room was clean, spacious and ideal for our trip.

Going downhill fast
Unfortunately gone downhill especially over the past year. The rooms cleanliness was on the edge of acceptable best not look too closely. Breakfast was terrible. Cheap sausages which were inedible accompanied an over cooked assortment. The overall experience of breakfast was as bad as it gets and only surpassed by the cold tastless carvery the day before. But the what was the absolute worst part .. in the cold light of day as we sat eating our breakfast the thick layer of muck on the blinds accompanied by decaying flies and insects. Out of public sight out of mind .. what else cant you see here. Staff however were all without exception lovely

Hotels.com bombard me with unsolicited emails.
This is not a reflection on the hotel which was absolutely fine. This is an attempt to get Hotels.com from sending me constant unsolicited emails. I have warned them numerous times that if they dont stop i will be leaving 1 star reviews. Hopefully when the hotels get on to them they may start to listen

Was fine for one nights stay. Arrived late with a toddler and just wanted food and sleep. The restaurant was good and staff were happy to allow to take the food to the room. Bed was clean but unfortunately more attention to detail in the bathroom was needed. Huge dead moth on the floor along with a big green toe nail. Beard hair round the sink. Did bring to the attention of the staff at check out but they really did'nt seem to care.

Hotel and bedrooms very clean and tidy. Staff were exceptionally lovely and nothing a problem. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent service.Would definitely recommend a stsy here. Also great outdoor space for families.

Very basic hotel. Just about acceptable for a last minute stay for 1 night. Upon arrival we had to ask the bar staff in the pub to find someone to book us in at reception which was situated next to the bar. No wardrobe in room, no soap in container for shower. Evening meal in the Marstons pub was very poor. Breakfast even worse.
