Excellent location. Close to everything and so much to see and do. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We are already planning on booking again the next time we are in the area.

The property is a bit older, which you can't tell until you get into the facilities. It looks like they are remodeling and the rooms are well maintained, but the halls and lobby need to be refreshed. The carpet in the halls looked like it needed to be vacuumed or replaced. The restroom (toilet and sink) in the room were older but the room and bed seemed refreshed; however, it still doesn't look like the pictures. I needed an early check-in and the woman at the front desk was so polite and accommodating. She was able to get me a freshly cleaned room so I could get ready before my event in town. The staff were very friendly! It was very centrally located to the pier and 3rd Street Promenade.

Charming Carmel
I usually stay here. It is an older property but very well maintained and always clean. It is quiet and I sleep well. They are renovating room by room. No refrigerator, no microwave. Close to Ocean Ave, the pier, 3rd street promenade. TV reception was intermittent this go round but that is not that important to me. More economical than the higher end places and comfortable. Secure parking.

The description says it has 2 bars, it does not. There was no fridge in the room, which is a bummer. The staff was excellent and beyond. The location is superb.

Property was not described or as pictured. Very run down, and uneasy feeling. Beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. Stale smell throughout entire hotel. Description stated restaurants, bar and cafe on site, which hotel does not have. Staff was beefy friendly.

Stayed before was great. This time the room was above a literal night club so the bass was going strong into the weee hours not ideal if trying to sleep. Bed sounded and felt like it was going to fall apart.

Changed rooms 4 times. 1st: they were remodelling the room right next to me, so building/drilling noise from 9am onwards. I asked to be moved to a quieter room. 2nd: even more noisier as faced the back alley, where homeless people drunk and partied all night. Plus, another room was also being remodelled across the hall, so they moved me to a worse room. Couldn’t sleep all night. They didn’t service room 2 for 2 consecutive days. 3rd: get a room facing the Main Street, but TV doesn’t work. 4th: finally get a room away from the remodelling and the homeless drunken alley. But keys don’t work! Hotel is a shambles.

Staff were not very friendly - there was no greeting or smile like in other hotels. Also not sure if there was an issue but there was a bad smell in the lobby area. Rooms are small and bathrooms are older.
