Great aparthotel in Marseille center
Location is great - just 5 min to the port. The hotel is good as a facility and service. Compared to the most hotels in the area they have very good fitness room. Breakfast is typically French.

Our hotel room was clean and spacious. There is underground parking for a fee which the hotel will discount. They have elevators and a nice lobby. But our room looked over the tram station entryway and there was a lot of noise coming from there. The area seemed a little sketchy but we never felt unsafe. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance, the marina too. Staff was friendly and spoke English well.

Inside the building was great (aside from the uncomfortable bed) and everyone was nice. Conveniently located. Back of the building where the balconies are open up over a sketchy back alley where people do drugs and rats run around. Entertaining but not quite confidence inspiring

I booked two nights for my family and stayed only one, burning the 2-room fee for one night. I would have completely avoided it once I was on the property but it was late, we had driven for hours and we could not look for another hotel and move there at that time. Let me say that this is the last time I trust expedia reviews. The hotel is in one of the worst areas of the city. It’s littered with trash everywhere, broken glass, spread out items that have clearly fallen out of trash bags can be seen until you get to the nicer part of town. The rooms clearly have been renovated recently. However they smell, at least of cigarettes, and god knows what else. Both rooms that we had had horrible smell. I wasn’t the only one, other guests were complaining too. I notified the hotel staff. They didn’t seem to care. Our room looked into some courtyard that seems to be the hangout spot for idle youth. They were out and about making noise till 2am. I was on thrle 1st floor and was concerned about safety. We couldn’t leave soon enough.

Hotel room was nice and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, but the shower room had a bit of a smell to it that radiated into the bedroom a bit. The hotel is in a convenient spot close to the train station, as well as the notable Marseille neighborhoods. The immediate area around the hotel is a bit sketchy, but relatively safe.

Great accommodations. Super clean and above average staff. English speaking staff, very helpful. Easy walk down to the port. Metro a few steps away. Some issues with litter around the area but not a big deal. We were 2 retired women and felt very safe at all times.

The staff cleaned our room and refreshed our towels only once during our 9-night stay. We had to ask for some toilet paper rolls every few days. Our room and bed were large and we even had a small kitchenette which was nice. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great Location, Easy to walk from Saint Charles. Staff were very friendly. Everything was nearby. Walking distance to the Old Port. All safe neighbourhood. Local fruits and veg market nearby. Apartment has everything you need. Kitchen and as fully equipped. Definitely recommended.

The hotel itself was fine, especially the staff, but we did not like the location. Neighbourhood was rundown, streets were not clean. View from the room was unsightly. Despite this, the Staycity brand of hotels is good with great value for money.
