The room specifically was not cleaned very well there was mold all in the shower in the grout and the toilet had urine behind the toilet that was not cleaned at all and I was totally disgusted outside of the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and everything looked nice. I just could not get past the fact that the rooms were cleaned so poorly

I checked in into my hotel a few minutes early, and the staff was very accommodating. My room was very comfortable and the maid service always carried-through. One minor thing: the maid service gave me 2 complimentary bottles of water throughout most of my stay except towards the end. When I called the front desk requesting for more water, they had me go to them and only gave me 1 bottle of water (since I was just a single guest). And that's fine, except I was a little surprised since maid service just gave me 2 bottles of water whenever I needed them. But that's just a minor thing. Another thing: there are only 2 laundry machines for the entire hotel. Fortunately, they're dryers too and overall not expensive. But don't expect to use them during the night b/c they're always busy. Use them during the daytime when hotel guests are (presumably) out. It'd be nice to have more washers/dryers throughout the hotel. Otherwise, this hotel is great and if I stay in Shinjuku again, I'll be sure to look up this hotel again! Breakfasts were also not bad. Staff at the Front Desk spoke good English and were very friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I had a very disappointing stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel. The room was extremely small—there wasn’t even enough space to walk comfortably. It was not clean, and the air conditioning was awful, making it impossible to relax. The mattress and pillows were of such poor quality that I ended up with neck and back pain. The advertising was completely misleading, as the room appeared much larger in the photos. To top it off, the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful throughout my stay. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I won’t be staying here again or recommending it to anyone.

Very nice hotel near the Golden Gai area and close to many Shinjuku train stations (but 12min from the main station - but still convenient). I enjoyed our upgraded room to a larger room cause the base rooms are very tight at less than 11m / 120sqft so I recommend the upgrade for extra space. I really enjoyed the free wine, daily waters, and ito en iced teas provided by the staff the daily breakfast had a great variety and gorgeous views.

Great place for the area. I think it felt a bit lackluster based on staying in other areas in Tokyo and other cities in Japan that were much nicer and had amazing amenities for the same price. It felt much grittier here than in other places both the area and hotel. The staff was super amazing and nice. I am more rating things based on the hotel itself.
