For the cost of this resort and the cost of the food and drinks at this resort I would expect much better. Do not stay here if you don't want to be surrounded by toddlers. I have children myself (which were not with us) however the hotel and restaurants are filled with the sounds of screaming children. Everywhere we ate onsite was awful. The food was bland, did not come out as listed on the menu, wasn't hot sometimes and the fruit flies were outrageous. The only place we didn't get swarmed by fruit flies was outside. Being from Florida I understand how and why you get fruit flies so I know cleaning was no where near up to par. Service was also terrible, 20 mins of waiting before someone comes to the table, food takes forever to prepare, drinks take forever this is why pre-tipped isn't always best. They are making their money so they dont care about providing good service. We also had no power for hours which for such a large corporation to own this hotel backup generators should be able to get power up quickly for the entire hotel. The staff were not friendly or helpful most of the time. A staff member let us walk into an employee's only stairwell that wasn't marked, we ended up lost clearly where we weren't supposed to be. Ran into another employee who saw us walking immediately pulled out her phone and then completely ignored us when we asked how we get out. There were very few staff members that were nice and friendly maybe 2 out of 4 days there. Dont waste your $.

Room view was great but housekeeping never changed out sheets we noticed this on our 3rd day when my wife accidentally spilled a drink and when we came back to our room the room was clean but the stain remained, at first we thought it was a mistake but the next day the same thing, they never changed our sheets and when we asked for a sheet changed they were upset and never came back

Let me start by saying these last seven days were amazing. Nothing we expected, but things always work out. I did do tons of research before booking. We were looking for an easy 7-day getaway after a really hard summer of life. We are in our early 50s and have no children. I feel like we needed to know how busy it would be ahead of time. We were told there were adult-only pools but were not told that these were at an additional cost. It would have been nice to include that in the daily resort fees. It would also be nice that after a certain hour there would have been restaurants without children. I know it sounds like we are grumpy, but that is not true. Many kids running around with noisey video games seemed a little extreme at 9:00 PM. It's up to parents who were just happy they played somewhere else. Other than the casino, nothing else is catered to the adults. The pools were often shut down because children had had accidents. We spent most days at the beach. This is a beautiful resort. It would be nice to have some adult space.

The property was beautiful, clean and good activities. A little too big and too much walking. Easy to get lost. Prices are extremely expensive. You have to pay extra for every little thing. Beaches and pools were very nice but the expense was not worth it.

Very expensive location with too many extras to be paid if you want the same level of experience of other Hyatt property. Staff around the pool and water park was not so friendly and were not happy with their jobs -I guess. Also , lacks of visual communication around the property- and again, staff did not care to assist . Restaurants were the best part with super nice service and staff. ( still very expensive but it was worth the price)

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is an absolute dream of a hotel. It is both luxurious and beautiful. Although it is pricey, it is very well maintained and extremely comfortable. There is tons to do, from restaurants beach, pool, to the water park.
