It was quiet the only noise at night was waves banging against the shore or the light rain. I did late night walking and no one bothered me. Downtown Hilo takes me 30 minutes to get there on foot- I walk fast. There’s a bus but it didn’t run often. Right now the bus fare is free . All that is going to change come 2025. So be aware.

This was my 3rd stay at this property. We use it as a low cost crash pad when visiting Hilo. Do not expect any fancy services, or even an elevator. But you get a clean room with wonderful staff, who closely monitor the safely of the property.

When we arrived we were told that they had taken payment from my credit card. I told them that I had paid Expedia but they insisted that they were entitled to take the payment from my card. Hopefully I have not paid twice.

Wonderful staff. We got a recently renovated room with a kitchenette which was great. This place is not new and it’s not fancy. But we don’t need that. It felt like home. And I must repeat: the staff was wonderful.

The staff there were extremely friendly, very helpful. For instance, a young man helped us carry up eight heavy suitcases up the stairs. This is because there is no elevator in this building. The room was clean. The building is in dire need of a update or renovation.

A great, clean, functional room in great location. Has small kitchenette in the room which was great and the bed was so comfortable. There is no lift or air-con but not needed, the fans and ocean breeze were perfect. Awesome location with fantastic views, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Will be back!!

Older hotel. Could use remodeling but this is a budget hotel. No air but our room was within feet of the water and we got a very nice breeze.. No beach but nice view. Our room was large. Bedding and linens smelled fresh and clean. Fine if you're on a budget.

Great location outside of downtown area. Less traffic and ample parking. Very clean and safe. Friendly staff. An older building that could use some upgrades, like A/C and an elevator. Some of room furniture was pretty worn. Overall, very good.
