Had a very nice experience at Ace Hotel. Pet friendly, rooms are eclectic, a retro vibe. Nice quiet floor, and no street noise, as their located on busy streets.Room had an interesting, well stocked mini bar, and amenities. Housekeeping was very attentive, and the lobby was a good place to meet friends, relax, or just listening to music and having drinks.

Does not live up to the Ace Hotel standard
After staying at the Ace Hotel in Chicago and Portland, OR, I was excited to check out its NYC location. The hotel's hallways are dim and scuffed. Our room smelled of mildew and was devoid of art, posters, window treatments, or any homey touches. The walls were in rough shape in the room and bathroom. Overall, I would not return until there are major renovations.

Excellent and spacious rooms. Conveniently located in downtown NY NY. Very clean and it stayed that way every single day. Great smiley service by their staff. Definitely book this hotel if I come to New York.

What was once the Ace is now a deuce
Property is aging quickly. Mold smell in room & basement amenity floor. Bed was old and shaped like a taco from being slept on too much. Everything in mini fridge expired. AC went out for entire property. Significant wear and tear to common spaces. Slow elevators.

It’s time for a renovation… the Ace is old.
Every hotel eventually becomes stale, outdated and soiled, the Ace NYC has reached that point. I’ve been coming here for 12+ years and it’s all still the same stuff. The decor is old, carpets are mildewed and the couches are stained. Love this hotel but it is in serious need of a renovation.
