The thermostat in our room broke (temperature kept increasing and thermostat would not lower, so hot!) and the phone was inoperable. Went down and told the desk about these problems (5 times!!!) and was assured that maintenance would be by to fix these issues. Needless to say maintenance did not arrive and when we went down to the desk AGAIN we were told by the night manager (who was amazing!), that the maintenance was never told of these issues and had left for the evening. It was suggested we leave our belongings in the room with the issues and sleep in another room. So my son had to now sleep on a pull out mattress from a couch (uncomfortable!) and the A/C still was not working and well in the new room. We were not about to leave our valuables so we had to repack, at 11 PM and transport our belongings to another room. Exhausting. The next morning we could not take the elevator because people were stuck in the elevator and we could hear them calling for help. Very happy to check out the following morning. Was not offered any type of compensation. Beyond disappointed. I wish I had the night managers name, he’s wonderful.

Great stay at the hotel, great service. Could be more elevators, occasionally pretty long waiting times and the stairs were a bit rustic and out of way. Truly Scottish breakfast, not too much veggies, hint hint. Also, no porridge? All in all, solid strong 4/5.

Twice within two weeks the rooms were not ready and wasn’t able to check in at 3 as stated. If the hotel cannot clean rooms in a timely manner maybe more cleaning staff may be needed. Free drinks at the bar isn’t always what a tired traveler needs to “make things right”. Will rethink staying at another Crowne Plaza for the future

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Check in was super busy when we arrived, there was staff handing out free glasses of wine for people waiting to be checked in as the hotel was fully booked. I was served by Lenka, she was absolutely amazing, i decided to upgrade my room as the price was great. Everything was super easy, Lenka took the time to make sure we understood everything included when we upgraded. She even went the extra mile and gave us a pre order sheet just incase we were hungry when coming back from an event. All the other staff at the hotel were lovely when you spoke to them, room was really clean and we had a fantastic view! Will definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel is right on river with nice walking/running/biking path with public transportation and hop on hop off bus stop nearby. A ways from city center, but cabs also readily available. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast buffet; dinner was good and reasonable.
