The host at reception was friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were clean, private and comfortable. The location of the lodge was very convenient for exploring Picton. I was able to park my rental car in a safe place

Lovely stay in queen room with harbour view. Very quiet although noise from port can be disturbing early morning. Lovely property which is well kept and cared for. Some officious rules with food in rooms and lounges but understand why.

Don’t miss this motel
Hadn’t stayed at a backpackers motel before, couldn’t believe how good and varied the facilities were. Breakfast was homemade scones, or toast, delicious, and included in price. What a wonderful introduction to the South Island.

A great place to stay - affordable, friendly, super helpful owners Nikki and Gary. A homely, welcoming atmosphere. There's a piano in the shared dining room, a lovely spa pool and access to everything you need in the kitchen. I'll be back!

Quirky accommodation (converted caravan) which wasn't what I was expecting. Friendly, helpful staff. Distance from bathroom facilities a bit of an issue during the night. Very noisy with loading/unloading from the wharf - especially on a still night. But for $80 a night one has to be pragmatic.
