Southern Wave! Beachfront, Pet Friendly Fenced Yard, Paradise!

This BEACHFRONT beauty has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a large 1200 square foot deck. It comfortably sleeps 12. The living and kitchen area are wide open with bright, unobstructed views of the ocean. The kitchen has beautiful custom wood cabinets and comes furnished with all the appliances, dishware and glassware you will need. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and large bathroom with a glass-entry shower and soaking tub. The guest room has two queen size beds with views of the ocean. The bunk room has 2 twin over full bunk beds. All rooms have flat-screen smart TV's with satellite cable. The large deck has plenty of lounge chairs. (Watching the sunrise and stargazing is our favorite thing to do) The deck is gated to keep your kids and pets safe from the stairs. The downstairs area is fully fenced and features a custom bar with ample seating and an outdoor shower. There is also a charcoal grill and fish cleaning/prep table. It is a perfect place to entertain or just hang out with the family. The yard and downstairs areas are fully fenced for the safety of children and pets. Linens and towels are provided with the house and our cleaning service keeps the place spotless! The house has both ethernet connection and WiFi. External security cameras monitor the property. Located in the heart of Crystal Beach so you are only a couple minutes from stores and restaurants. Fido doesn’t have to stay at home because we are pet friendly, with payment of the non-refundable pet fee!

Great Home and Location

Southern Wave is an excellent home on Crystal Beach. The home is clean and maintained nicely. The fenced yard and dog-friendly are an added bonus. The Wi-Fi internet works great, and there are lots of games available. If there was a complaint, it is that the DirecTv package does not include ESPN, but that isn't that big of a deal as we brought our own Apple TV with our streaming apps to watch the basketball games.

Beach House Escape 2025

The property is beautiful. It is right on the beach. It has a fenced in yard. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you could ever need. The beds are comfy. The wraparound porch is wonderful. It is located near a great restaurant and big store. We would stay in this home again.

Mid-Winter Getaway

This was our third trip to the Southern Wave and it’s still the perfect spot for a mid-winter getaway. Everything is as we remember it - comfy house, great deck and seating to enjoy watching the beach and the water, easy and direct access to the beach for walks, well appointed and stocked kitchen and a securely fenced yard for our pups. We spent lots of time sitting on the deck and we especially appreciate the gate to the stairs that allows us to keep our dogs from running downstairs without us. It’s nice to have access to our own streaming services on the TV to be able to watch things we particularly wanted to see. Monica is super-responsive, although we had no issues while we were there. After three trips here, could there be a fourth? Quite possibly...

Beautiful house/location!

Everything within human control was perfect!! Unfortunately, south Texas was hit with terrible storms and the peninsula was without power. Our host reached out to us before we even arrived and continually communicated with updates. We were very sad that power was not restored and our vacation had to be cancelled. We received a refund within days. I would highly recommend using VRBO and this host!

Would do again

A few minor inconveniences we were able to overcome but all in all we had a good time. The house layout was perfect affording privacy when desired. Location on the beach was outstanding. Beryl came through about a month before our trip so the fence was still down but we put up a temporary fence and the pups were able to enjoy the space. Will look at this rental again when planning a trip to the beach.

If you are looking for somewhere beach front, clean, comfy, & relaxing, this is your place! Step out on the front porch and it was like you were sitting on the beach. Zero complaints about our stay. We would stay here again! The host stayed in contact before our trip & was quick to communicate upon our arrival. Provided very clear check in & check out information.

One Beach A Year

My husband, myself, and our Boston had a wonderful stay. Not only was the house exactly what I was looking for but also the community members were welcoming. Our pup, who normally has freedom to roam at home, enjoyed the fenced in yard and the huge deck instead of having to be leased. This property was definitely large enough for many more guests, but was a lovely beach house for our short get away.

Couldn't have been better!

I absolutely fell in love with the house and location. It was perfect, we loved the fenced yard. I travel with a service dog and a family pet and it was so nice for them to be welcome and safe. We walked to the little taqueria on the corner, found a few more great places to eat very close to the house. The beach was wonderful in this area. Overall, it is just simply a SUPERB location! We hope to be back at Southern Wave soon!

Perfect house and location

This was our second summer vacation to Southern Wave. We love the property and the owners. It’s a perfect spot right on the beach. The house has all you need and the owners are super helpful and accessible.

For the price, it should have been cleaner.

The house is right on the beach and we loved the fenced in yard, especially with littles. That being said, it appeared clean at first glance but it was not. We had little kids with us (9 months and 21 months) who were in the floor and constantly had dirt, dust, hair in their hands. We had to wash almost all of the dishes prior to using them as they had remnants of food on them. It was a holiday weekend so I know the staff was busy but we were disappointed in the cleanliness, especially given how much we paid.

Fabulous Beach access!

This was our annual family vacation with Grandparents, and my daughter’s family. The six of us were thrilled with having beach access from the backyard gate directly to the gulf. Wonderful wraparound deck where we “seniors” could sit and watch our granddaughters activities with their parents. The kitchen has everything you need and more! We will definitely stay here again.
