Reception made me wait for 2 hours like a sitting duck in the lobby, even though my room was confirmed ready. They wouldn’t allow me access to the room until exactly 4pm. Someone finally approached me in the lobby at 3:15 and said if I wanted to pay an additional $50 I could check in earlier than 4pm. Seeing as I already sat there for the previous hour and a half, I just saved the $50 and waited the additional 45 mins. Ridiculous customer service. Its hard knowing your room is ready but not being able to access it and having to sit in an empty lobby while the staff sit behind the desk and giggle. There’s a real disconnect between people these days and it’s hard to be a part of.

The hotel is right next to the metrotown shopping center and shares the same parking garage. The hotel only has 6 floors and has a great hot breakfast with baked beans and congee. It feels like a boutique hotel. We were able to check our luggage at the bellhop before checking in. We also were able to extend our checkout by 3 hours. My only complaint is its easy to miss the parking entrance since theres no signage for hotel parking from the street.

Let me tell you that this hotel was the right one for us. I’m really picky about hotels. Most of the time I stay at Airbnb’s but since my husband wasn’t with us I wanted to make sure that we got a hotel. I want my hotels to be very clean, my bed to be comfortable, and I want to feel safe. This hotel delivered on all that. The key card was used for anytime you need to enter the building or go up the elevator. We stayed there five nights and we felt so safe. It was just myself and my girls. The breakfast was great every morning and the staff was so awesome at keeping everything well stocked. There was something for everyone. If you need anything, the mall has an excess of stores. There is a supermarket in the mall as well as a Walmart for discount shopping. There’s even a Dollarama next to the hotel. It was so cool watching my daughter enjoy Toys “R” Us since we no longer have them in the US. Also, the mall has a Food Court and there are banks near there where you can use the ATM if you need to get money out. Quite frankly, if you can’t navigate using the transit system in Vancouver, then something is wrong with you. The metro stop is right in front of the property. We got to every major attraction in no more than 30 minutes. I found the noise from the station to be at a minimal. The hotel obviously offers air plugs. The staff was crazy nice. They gave me a discount coupon for the Capilano bridge. We just had a great time and we will definitely be returning to this hotel.

I stayed 4 nights. This is the first time I stay. I found the location is great. Skytrain is across the street. Metromall is few steps away. The hotel has access to the mall . No need to cross street. Also safe to walk if there is rain. I will use the same hotel if I come back again.
