Disappointed
Owner has installed new appliances in the kitchen, and new televisions in the living room and bedrooms, much appreciated. The location in Seagrove is fantastic. Close to beach, shops, restaurants.
However, previous comments concerning lack of natural light, bright hallway light through the bedroom window at night, loud pump noise from the other side of the wall in the bedroom, and no outdoor space are accurate.
The owner has intended for the furnishings and decor to be a "shabby chic" style, which gives it a tired, dingy appearance, especially with no natural daylight coming in. It has vinyl tile over concrete floors in the main area (kitchen, dining, living) that have divots and are starting to disintegrate. They continued to crumble with repeated walking over the surface.
A quick fix is to invest in blackout panels for the bedroom (which I did just for us). A larger investment would be to replace the floors.
Addressing the noise issue, which is a perpetual "prop plane sound" would require engineering/structual design efforts. (It's actually a water pumping station for the building. Every time a toilet flushes anywhere in the building, the pump kicks on - all night long)
It was my mistake, when booking, to think this property had outdoor space (porch or deck). That part of the listing has been modified for accuracy. The overall condition of this property needs attention.
This property is suitable for a very short-term stay, not so much for longer stays.
