This suite is ornately designed with simplicity, leaving the impression of an old-fashioned Southern hospitality. This suite boasts a gorgeous gulf front view. Additional room amenities include: cable television, CD stereo, wi-fi (or internet), coffee maker, and a microwave. NOTE: No kitchen or laundry facilities are available in this unit. However, laundry facilities are on the 3rd floor and there are endless dining options.

Apart from all that, this resort is a great place to base yourself from your home away from home. The most beautiful resort to visit for families and couples on St Pete Beach, along the picturesque Gulf of Mexico. Situated on the shoreline, and voted number in TripAdvisor's 2012 Traveler's Choice Awards.


The person checking in must be 21 years of age (or older). With this notion, please prepare a VALID ID and credit card in your name. A $150 Pre-Authorization from any major credit card upon checking in is required. After purchase you will receive an email confirmation showing your name on the reservation as the guest checking in within 14 days of check in date. Please bring a valid form of Picture ID. However, if you would like to change the name of the person checking in after you have provided this information, there will be a $99.00 name change fee. Any damages will be charge upon check-out.

The check- in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. The nearest airports to Bluegreen at TradeWinds are St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport (PIE) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) which are 21 miles and 28.9 miles by car respectively.

Onsite parking. One vehicle per unit. Additional parking unavailable. TradeWinds has increased enforcement of parking restrictions and has partnered with a towing company to tow any non-registered guest vehicle. To ensure your vehicle is properly identified as a registered guest, always clearly display the appropriate parking pass in your vehicle. Towed vehicles are the sole expense of the owner. Luggage carts are available in the Breckenridge lobby. Bellman available if you need assistance. There is no parking available for over-sized vehicles, trailers, RVs, or boats.
Trailers will not be allowed to park on property but may be parked at an offsite lot less than 1 mile away if available. Please be advised that this event is expected to bring crowds and more noise than usual.

We were called the morning of our arrival at the property to inform us that there was confusion and the owner had not accepted our reservation. As a result VRBO found us a place for 2 of the 4 nights, leaving us to find our own hotel which was next to impossible at this time of the year.

Be careful
The hotel was great, but I would not book through this company. When we arrived, there was no room in my name. The hotel does not work with the company directly - and hotel staff were visibly annoyed with me because I didn’t book direct. It took about 40 minutes to get a room. Then the length of my stay was incorrect and I received a notification about a second room during my stay. The hotel staff could not explain, called property management for several days to inquire. They didn’t even answer, my call was placed directly on hold and left there until I hung up after about 30 minutes. On our last day which was New Years Eve, I was told I had to switch rooms. I was told this was “standard” and went from my oceanfront room to overlooking the hotel roof and parking lot. Never again.

We will never use VRBO again!
The day before we are due to leave we get an email from Resort Rental Pro, stating our 3rd night has been cancelled. I immediately call & get their voicemail. I contact VRBO, after telling my story & being transferred countless times I end up speaking to Amanda Martines with the Traveler Care Team. She stated she could help! She places me on hold & we get disconnected. I immediately call back & get the full run around for an hour. After speaking to 4 more reps I get back to a Traveler Care Team member who states VRBO can help but we need to call on the day of the cancelled night to see how! I am now traveling hours away unknowing if we will be able to enjoy our planned fully paid for vacation. I then get a call from Resort Rental Pros from a very rude lady who couldn't answer why they would book a condo unknowing if it was available or not? She basically said if I am not happy she can just cancel the entire trip. We get to the resort & get assigned our room. We unpack & while getting ready for our dinner reservation we receive a phone call from the Team Lead Aaron. He states they made a mistake & put us in the wrong room & we need to move. I explain that we are all unpacked & getting to leave for dinner. He didn't care. I then told him we didn't make this mistake & its inconvenient. He then became short & hung up. A few minutes later he calls back, so my husband goes to the lobby to talk face to face. He states that he is going to have security come escort us off the property if we do not switch rooms. That a family of 6 needs our room & because we only have 4 we need to move! We again state we did not make this error. Aaron then threatens that he is going to call the police & have us removed. For.. what? Your mistake, Aaron? Unbelievable. The security guard, Zach steps in. He tells Aaron he needs to walk away. Zach immediately calms the situation.. he asks us to move & states he would assist with the full switching of rooms! He would also reschedule our, now missed, dinner & he would even call the restaurant & request it be comped! He stated he would reach out to higher management & explain what happened. The next day we get a phone call from the Guest Experience manager, Doug who gives us our first apology, states we should not have been treated that way & asked how to fix it. We told him about our mishap with VRBO & the last night. He gets in touch with Shelby with Bluegreen resorts & they fulfil our request. We will never use VRBO again!!

Challenging
We booked it for a month stay and we had to change rooms every week and since we weren't owners of Blue Green they gave us the worse rooms available. Many maintenance issues that got solved but still quite challenging. When we called the property manager Shelby she wouldn't return calls or texts that were sent. When every we asked questions at the front desk we were told we had to contact her. . The staff at Tradewinds were great. The adult pool was extremely cold for about 2 weeks and no one used it. When asked we were told it was broken then they turned it up. Never happened. I would stay again but not through BlueGreen

Great room
Great room newly designed. If you are looking for a great view, not the room for you but if you’re like us, we don’t spend much time in room but on the beach. Can’t beat the price. 10th straight year at the Tradewinds and can’t wait for the 11th!! Highly Recommend!!

I was a little concerned based on the reviews for the property managers of our tradewinds weekly rental, but everything was exactly as if we had booked through tradewinds directly. We love this resort and this rental of a blue green unit was consistent with all previous tradewinds rentals. Id definitely stay at this unit with rrp again.
