On the surface the hotel looks as it’s presenting itself, a three star boutique hotel. We had a large corner room with space and light, very clean, good bedding. It was Saturday night. The problem is that it’s an old building with zero sound proofing. There was wedding and as the guest went to their rooms between 1am and 3 am we heard every door in the hotel slam. The rest of the night we couldn’t sleep either as the old single pane windows let the noise from the street, tram and freight train in. In the morning the bathroom was unusable as the bath from the unit above leaked through our ceiling dripping cold dirty water on us at high rate. Tried the coffee for breakfast but were again disappointed. We won’t be back. Toronto has many better options.

The location was convenient, but the hotel puts more effort into fashion than function. Little things like in-room coffee and blinds that actually darken the room would have greatly improved my experience, which are staples at other, much cheaper hotels I've stayed at. There was a communal coffee machine on another floor, but it wasn't working. The frameless bathroom door also makes a loud bang everytime you close it.

Friendly staff with easy check in. Parking across the street in parking garage. Area felt safe to walk day and night with a friend. Loved the decor and that every floor had its own uniquely style common area. Would stay again.

Staff was great.. room was very nice, but clothing bar is in an odd spot and easy to hit your head on. Would love a fridge to be added. Breakfast was amazing in the am.

I’ve stayed at the Gladstone before and it’s always been a good home base however, this time, the AC in the room wouldn’t stop turning on and off throughout the night, was very loud and I even turning up the temp but thar didn’t help. After a bad night sleep I discovered the hotel was out of coffee. The front door receptionist did offer to go buy me a coffee across the street, but this was shocking for a hotel that still charges $250+ a night.

The Shower stall was good! The wifi was good What was not good: Feces around the toilet floor. Broken flush lever. Noisy fan duct work outside of room. Heard it all night. Not worth the amount for the stay Parking was extra A wedding party monopolized the breakfast and dinner restaurant on site. TV channels kept disconnecting. Long time to registered. Their computer software failed.
