Excellent stay!
Our family of 5 stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. We called the day of and were given early check in which was really great and convenient. Our family loved the cabin feel and it was pretty kid-safe and near to a lot of amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

Review of Beary Pines
Great property, very quiet, wonderful neighborhood, very clean, and well-appointed kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay. Only minus' is all the beds were too soft, seems owner should consider replacing/updating. No closet for handling clothes in the master bedroom. The living room furniture was all set far back from the fireplace and TV. There was plenty of room to move it all forward making it feel more comfortable and enhancing the television viewing. Internet was frequently spotty and very on and off in the afternoons, although this may have been a service provider issue. Should have the service provider look into it. In the mornings and evenings, it always seemed to work fine and with very good speed.

Beutiful log home in the pines
Beuatiful log home in the pines. Very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed watching the wildlife (Blue jays, chipmunks, etc.) from the back deck and also from the lengthy front deck. Also enjoyed playing a little shuffle board. We especially liked that we were away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend crowds, yet quite close to everything. The home was very well provisioned. The master bedroom bed seemed old and noisy and in need of an upgrade. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin home
The home is well-appointed and luxurious. It backs up to the national forest and is in a quiet mountainside location near Bear Mountain. The decor is charming and each of us felt very comfortable there.

quiet retreat
We spent two weeks at Beary pines. Our Daughter and Granddaughter stayed with us the entire two weeks. Our son-in-Law joined us for the first couple of nights and then the second weekend our son joined us. The cabin’s open living space was spacious and easily accommodated all of us. The kitchen was well appointed, however there was no crock pot. The only negative was that the Master bedroom closet was locked, there was absolutely no place to hang any of our clothes. The other two bet rooms had closets but there was a lot of stuff in them. My suggestion to the owners is to make sure your guests have a place to hang their clothes. Beds were comfortable. The area is very quiet and backs up to the forest.

Wonderful and peaceful stay!
The cabin is beautifully done with the forest right out the back door! We really enjoyed being able to take walks whenever we felt like it! Kitchen was well stocked and flows right into a very comfortable family room. Bed was really comfortable too. Quiet neighborhood was just what we were hoping for!

What a great time!!
We had snow, Shuffle Board and a beautiful fireplace. The location was perfect and we made so many fun memories. We would definitely stay again:) The only downfall is that my dad and mom slipped and fell on the ice in the driveway. Be careful exiting your car- and have a blast:)

Very lovely home in a beautiful setting. Only issue was blankets provided were dirty and needed to be washed. I told them about and nothing was offered to clean them. I would suggest to bring travel laundry detergent .

Beautiful, spacious cabin, better cleaning
The cabin was beautiful and spacious. Felt cozy and comfortable I just had two issues. First we only used two of the three bedrooms but when we unmade the beds, both beds had hair on the sheets. It made me question how well they were washed or if they were washed. I texted the message we were supposed to respond to with inquiries and received no response about this issue. This is the first time I use vrbo but compared to my experience with Airbnb this felt much less personal. My second issue is that there were fees to pay for cleaning, and for booking vrbo and to the Owners yet on the final day we had to take out all of our own trash bags and deliver them to the dump. It’s my first time staying in big bear so I don’t know if this is normal but since there is a cleaning fee I had hoped taking out the trash would be included.

Quiet, clean house
Great house with a spacious living room and kitchen area. Floors have been redone (laminate wood instead of carpet). Only issue for us was that all beds were extremely soft. Overall would recommend.

The house was perfect
The house was perfect for our family. We loved that it backed up to woods with a hiking trail about 100 yards up the hill and the fact that we were only about 15 minutes from most of the lake activities. The decor definitely made it feel like a fancy getaway cabin and everything provided made sure we were comfortable. The check-in process was easy and the property management company was quick to respond when the the water wasn’t coming out hot. They immediately sent someone out to adjust the thermostat on the water heater. Finally, they place was very clean allowing us to relax on our first getaway during COVID. We will definitely be coming back to this house in the future.

Amazing winter getaway!
We've stayed at Beary Pines for 2 consecutive years and we absolutely love it. Creating a sledding run in the back yard is our kids' favorite and we love making a fire and doing smores. Our winter memories as a family will always be set at this cabin.
