Great value in an excellent location. If your on a budget, its hard to beat the value in Carlsbad. Yes, if your a light sleeper, the street noise can be a deterrent. But you can bring ear plugs. Very walkable too many options. Staff pleasant & professional, rooms clean, updated & comfortable. Good cable tv options. Yes the walls are thin, but your not at the Marriott. I've stayed many times & will stay again in the future.

Disappointed in the cleanliness of room. Beat up walls and patches with no paint. Pictures on internet show coffie pot on table and apon room inspection did not find one. Office had a machine but was signed 9ut of service. When I asked was told coffie was avaliable for purchase down the street. We loved the location for the beach and village walkability. I was confused on the service animal requirements due to my dog is still in training for that purpose and I have no registration yet. I was going to keep him in my truck and was pleased to find out that for a fee I could room him with us. I gladly paid this for the occasion

Economically Nice

Need some TLC. Room and linen worn with holes in blankets. They did freshen up the linen and removed the trash. Nice people. Walking distance from beach and Village. Descent price.

The hotel is very cute, I enjoyed my stay. It had a kittenette - stove, small fridge with a freezer, and microwave. The bathroom had a blow dryer, that is always nice. Thank you to the lady at the window - I was able to check in a little before 3 pm.

The location is great, but that is literally the only positive thing to day about this place. I could immediately tell what my experience would be like upon checking in. I originally booked the hotel for a single night. I appreciate that they list the amount of the deposit when booking the room because a lot of times places seem to surprise you with it. Because I saw this, I was prepared to pay it and had called ahead of arrival to see if they accepted cash or credit for this. He said either one, so I withdrew $100 cash to ensure that I would receive it back quickly upon checking out. Checking in was a very simple and quick process, however, the manager had seen me when I pulled up and proceeded to collect additional money from me for a “pet fee”. He must have seen the dog in my car and assumed that it was my pet. I informed him that I don’t have any pets and it’s actually a service dog. We then argued for quite a few minutes about the fact that he still wanted me to pay an additional fee, even though according to ADA laws, he’s not allowed to collect any additional fees from me in that situation. At some point, I got him to explain what -Absolutely no effort has been made at this property to soundproof any room, whatsoever. In my room, I could hear the nearest neighbor inside of his room having a casual conversation at normal volume. This was the entire night, as if he were inside the bathroom having a chat with someone just on the other side of the door from where I was.

Check in was smooth and there was plenty of parking. The room was simple but clean. The bed was not great. I asked for an extra pillow and the man at the front desk said he would bring one, but never did. The walls were thin and we could hear people yelling late at night and early morning. It served its purpose- a quick night in Carlsbad. If all you need is a nights sleep this place will do.

Great location. It’s literally 5-6 min walks to the beach. It’s slightly away from the village (9-10 min walk) which I liked. I don’t want to be in the middle of busy streets. Room was clean and I had no problems with stuff. Will stay there again !!

My room was actually disgusting. Silverfish running around in the room, cigarette burns in the sheets, dirt and mold on the walls and ceilings, dog fur in the beds. We ended up leaving an hour into checking in because it was just genuinely so awful.
