I showed up at 2pm and they wanted $20 extra to check in. Then I had to air the room out for over an hour to get rid of disinfectant smell even though It didn't look clean. Then I really learned my lesson that night when there was no heat and no blankets so I basically froze all night and had to sleep in all of my clothes.

Room was clean, small kitchenette, fridge, microwave. Comfortable, and amazing location. You can walk to all the best parts of Carlsbad village. Room was freezing though , had ac for hotter days but only a small space heater for cold times

Being a prior guest I asked for a flat sheet to put over the comforter on top of the bed and was told that they don't have a key to the laundry room when they're the owners of the hotel that pissed me off given I've stayed there before and late nice tips so I'll take my business elsewhere

Roaches on the floor. Vomit under an end table. Tv remote didn’t work and when I approached the front desk, was asked “why didn’t you bring this up earlier. When did you check in?” Expedia would not refund, so stayed through the night but left at sunrise the next morning. Worst hotel experience of my life.
