They need to get the simple things right
The hotel is cute and the welcome glass of champagne and other amenities are lovely but we did not have hot water in the shower, the fireplace stopped working, the bathroom door would not stay shut, and the body wash container was empty. They need to get the basic stuff right, especially at 500+ a night. Nothing is more miserable than a cold shower.

It's a motel
The check-in process started off oddly. The guy behind the counter was using some old laptop and seemed annoyed i had just booked the room off Hotels.com and was wondering how i got the room for so cheap. Then he took forever to finish the process. The rooms are tiny and not insulated from sound. You could hear the people above you stomp around and every car start outside in the parking lot. They try really hard to fancy up the motel with random little add-ons to the room. It's "dog friendly" without a designated area for them to go and the park across the street has a big sign that says no dogs lol. The price for this place is rediculous for what it is, not including their "resort" fee which I've certainly never paid for at a motel before. Literally right behind this place is a Comfort Inn.

Excellent overall. Good service and nice continental champagne breakfast service. Only complaint was my TV did not get the regular channels and bathroom sink outlet didn't work. I mentioned this in the morning when leaving the unit for the day, but they didn't fix either by the evening. I think it is an issue with smaller boutique hotels not being able to fix things rapidly. BUT, I would stay here again.

This is my second stay at Petit Pali. it's very close to town which makes for easy walking. It states it has free parking but it does not guarantee parking. it shares parking with other property down street. rooms are comfortable but very small so not a lot of luggage can fit. StFf is amazing. beds are comfortable Shower has great pressure

Absolutely love this hotel in Carmel! It’s perfect for couples, girls trips or quick getaway. This is our second time staying at the property and once again it impressed us. This time we brought our dog since the hotel is super dog friendly. He enjoyed his stay as much as we did! The hotel decor, amenities and snacks are such a delight.

The property is beautiful and dog friendly. The only issue we would have is that there are no trash receptacles anywhere on the property except for the small trash can in your bathroom. It's a challenge and inconvenient. Other than that, we loved our stay and would highly recommend Le Petit Palt

When we arrived, the women at the front desk were absolutely lovely and very welcoming but our room wasn’t ready. When we came back 30 minutes later, there was an older gentleman managing the desk and he was standoffish and unwelcoming. He made the check-in process uncomfortable and was a bit condescending so that was not a great way to officially start the experience. We were also surprised at the limited counter space in bathroom and lack of closet. We just got back from the Four Seasons in Hawaii and paid less for the room there. While the hotel is cute and well located, I probably wouldn’t return.

Noisy as the hotel doesn't have Air conditioning so you have to sleep with the windows open. Our only window was out back and right on a busy street. Also, couldn't check in for 45 minutes past our check in time. Not sure I'd stay here again. And room service didn't show up til almost 3:45 pm one day....20 min after we returned to the room for a nap.
