Lack of management and ANTS
I've happily been in many Marriott Bonvoy properties like this but this one felt mismanaged before I ever got there. I was in 2 rooms due to ant issues (btw i have 100s of hotel reviews on other sites and never once reported ants once let alone twice on the same property just to give you the weight here). And the blatantly obvious let down continued throughout the stay to help make me feel like this was a pretty neglected Marriott property. I had ant crawling all over my room on both the 1st and 3rd floor notably in the areas with a light hard surface because you would never know otherwise because of how poorly lit all rooms are. At one point there were 10 ants in my shower and another 6 on my coffee table area and a soaked carpet beneath it that i didn't see due to the lack of light. There were multiple lights out in each room I had which shows that there is no daily management either in maintenance or daily house keeping. I get that sometimes in lean times other mgrs take this on, but typically this is always a failed approach. I was so disgusted but because I was so pressed for time and trusted the brand, i withstood this. I even commented about other areas that needed help such as cold breakfast buffet and a gym that had no sanitizing agents but nobody ever offered a single thing in return other than an apology despite me offering many, many issues with a smile and not making a scene as I was entitled to. This place should be closed frankly.
