Pros and Cons
We rented this property for a family of 8 for 4 nights. The pros - great location, family friendly amenities like pool table, an above ground pool, ping pong table and enough space for everyone.
But this is where the positives end. The host was not communicative and didn't respond to several vrbo messages, phone calls and text messages for simple things like checking weather conditions and requesting early check in. The property was ready when we got there around 2 pm and we were able to get in but no word from the host. A little unnerving to think that no one can be reached in case of anything urgent. The photos don't reflect exactly how aged the property is - there are some attempts to modernize but the property is not well maintained. The kitchen had cockroaches and I am highly allergic to cockroaches so that was interesting. Several door handles were so loose that they were falling apart and none of the bathroom and most of the bedroom doors DIDN'T lock. The master bath is really from the 1970s with a blue tub and no drain cover and every metal fixture rusted. There was a spot in the guest bedroom with the twin beds where the wood floor was ruptures and if you stepped on it water came out. The lights flickered at random times leading me to think the wiring is faulty. And a cabinet in the kitchen had water seepage where mold was growing so we were unable to use the rice cooker or another appliance in there. the nespresso machine was broken and the list goes on.
