The resort is beautiful and fun to explore. The pools are always slammed busy and only go to 3 feet in depth, would’ve liked something a bit deeper. Hardly any shade around the pool. The beach was the best part of the resort! However, if you want to use umbrellas and chairs it’s over $100 for the day. The food choices on the resort are extremely expensive for mediocre food. Highly recommend getting off property for better food options. We loved staying in the Rainbow Tower and enjoyed the views of the ocean and luau! Bed was uncomfortable and hard, pillows were iffy. I’d give this resort a solid 3/5

It's a very convenient area with plenty of shopping and dining options. I loved the dvd rentals at night to wind down, something a little different than other hotels.

I was impressed with The service…consistently friendly and efficient from all employees. However, I have stayed at the village a number of times over many years. It has been a while and I was disappointed in the quality of food/restaurant options. The property is now a bit dated and I would probably stay elsewhere on my next visit.

Liked that there was an adult pool on the property. The property was right in the beach so we walked to watch the sunrise and sunset everyday. It was magical!

Hard bed hotel

When my cousin and I arrived the Hilton employees were on strike marching and yelling their demands! Although that was going on we were checked in a timely manner. We also received a free upgrade to the rainbow tower beautiful view but the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We slept with our floaters on our beds which seem to help but uncomfortable & no microwave and the room was out dated.

I'll never stat at the Hilton again, and won't recommend it to friends or family. We live on Kauai and travel to Honolulu often. We normally stay at less expensive hotels, but decided to splurge this trip. It was a real disappointment. The cheaper hotels were better. First, a band plays every night, and they are VERY loud, and they play till 9:30. So, you can't do anything in your room. So loud you can't watch TV, and even with noise cancelling headphones, so loud you can't watch your own devices. Buy hey, there's a DVD player in the room, and they give you a voucher for a DVD rental, isn't that great!@ Our room was dirty and run-down. Lots of chipped paint. It just looks old and worn. It was probably great 30 years ago. It's $70/night to park, or $80 for valet. It took us forever to find our tower (Diamond Head), because the signage is terrible. Walked past the entrance several times because the sign for that tower is tiny and hard to see. Other towers had two foot tall illuminated signs, this one was 6 inches tall and about the same color as the wall. No signposts nearby to guide. Lastly, this is the busy/noisy end of Waikiki beach. So, if you're in your twenties and want to party all night, maybe this is the spot for you. It certainly wasn't what we were after.

Beautiful Views Dated , Expensive Rooms

The view from our room was beautiful. The beds were hard and the pillows were trash!!! So much so that my cousin and I slept on our blow up beach floaters. The place is very expensive to stay at , but needs some serious upgrading. The base boards in the room were dirty and you could see how dated the place is.

The main swimming pool was closed, and was not announced on there website. Construction to the pool and streets were noisy during the day. Lots of construction taking place. Additionally, this resort does not even have a microwave in the rooms.

Our family had a great time. There were 8 of us total with 4 being children. We reserved 3 rooms, all in the Tapa tower with ocean view. Rooms were clean, accommodating and very comfortable. Only 2 complaints are there were no microwaves :( no one was able to take left overs from the many restaurants since there was no way to warm it up, not even a "common" area to warm up food. This meant we ended up spending more money on food. The pools were awesome, however; the waterslides were only available during certain hours and not for very long, also the Tapa pool was closed for maintenance. Other than that, plenty to do. We only left the resort a few times to explore. Would recommend overall.
