This is a beautiful property with a beautiful location. There is shopping quite close with a variety of things you may need. The only down side to the room was the choice of coffee makers . We would have loved to sit on our balcony and drink a cup of coffee in the morning but the fact that they decided to put a Nespresso machine in every room as opposed to a regular coffee maker made that impossible . Not everyone wants to have a "specialty coffee" first thing in the morning and the fact that the cups they provided were not even big enough to hold the coffee from one pod was interesting to say the least.

25 year anniversary

The hotel location is perfect. The beach and neighboring properties, plus local restaurants and shops are plentiful and there are many great choices. The service in the hotel and food was excellent. We had an issue with an upgrade but the hotel responded with the utmost level of professionalism. The hotel also booked a sunset cruise for us which was perfect with great views transportation to the boat and appetizers/drinks. As with any hotel during off season there was construction to better the hotel but overall it didn’t effect our experience overall. We will definitely be back.

It was nice that the front desk agent found a room that was easy for me when I checked in early. However, I got to the room which was a trek from the front desk and my key didn’t work. When I communicated via the Hilton app it was like the people didn’t realize I had just checked in bc I was told to go back to the front desk to get a physical key. I had to advocate for myself and say the lock is broken bc no lights are flashing. And that the front desk was a long distance from my room and I didn’t want to cart my luggage back to the front desk. I asked for some staff member to come and look at the lock. After over 25 minutes I finally was able to get in the room because engineering came with a battery and a lock fix. This entire situation could have been avoided if the lock was checked before the room was approved for someone to check in. So I it was a rocky arrival experience.

Wonderful trip. Construction throughout week w some restaurants (Grotto/pool rest) closed. Was asked about an upgrade which was misrepresented and ended up in an extra $6000 charge as was not represented as a ‘per night’ charge. The upgrade was more than the base price of the room we purchased. Quite disappointing that it was not clearly explained.

Positives: Beautiful hotel and grounds with a great beach and many walkable shops and restaurants. Great cleaning staff. Negatives: Adults pool was not cleaned regularly. Remaining pools are all filled with kids. Rooms have a very small shower area sadly. Also, very, very cheap toilet paper. Patio furniture needs restaining and varnish (the stain transferred to our wet swim suits which we were trying to dry). Poor sound proofing to adjacent rooms. No fan in toilet area. They forgot our complimentary water bottles. You would expect a 5 star to not have these issues.

AVOID THIS DAYCARE CHILD-RUN DISASTER of a hotel. This hotel is a child’s paradise with little Children running around everywhere. There is nothing luxurious or “5 star” about this hotel. The hotel itself has no true representation to suggest it is the Waldorf Astoria — despite charging almost $1000 USD per night. - hotel requires an update with several buildings appearing dilapidated and run down. - rooms are mediocre at best - no true room service; any room service you order is serviced by an “Uber eats” type experience —- where someone comes to your door with a brown paper bag with plastic utensils. No tray, no metal cutlery, no proper china. Oh but you’ll pay a massive service fee for the room service. - BEACH ACCESS requires a PAYMENT OF $75-97 FOR A LIMITED time. So not only will you pay $55 USD FOR YOUR DAILY RESORT FEE, you will be extra for beach access loungers AND get kicked off them at 3:30pm. This is NOT normal. People are paying to come to a beach front resort, yet you charge them AND kick them out during peak hours. There are no lounge chairs on the beach beyond 3:30pm offered. They will say “oh we have complimentary chairs” but every morning we requested them, they were unavailable of course. Nonsense! Neighboring hotels — such as the Four Seasons — does not do this nonsense (loungers are complimentary AND there is no time limit). - coffee maker pods provided overflowed and spilled on my clothing as the provided mugs were too small (how does the hotel overlook

I recently stayed at the grand Wailea Hotel, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in a breeze. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the city skyline. The amenities were top-notch, especially the swimming pools for my kids and the on-site restaurant, which served delicious meals. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. The location was also perfect, within walking distance of local attractions and shops. Overall, my stay at the Grand Wailea was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay!

Beautiful resort with an awesome pool that our family enjoyed. Easy access to the beach and a short walking distance to shops and dining. The Humu restaurant was fantastic. Staff was accommodating and very nice. Wife thought the concierge staff was not helpful and indifferent towards some of our questions. Overall a nice stay but there are probably better value resorts in the area for your money.

They property is exceptionally beautiful, well kept up and always clean. I had a few drawbacks with the staff, the room wasn't cleaned one day, the toiletries were never replaced without tracking someone down. My friend on the new side of hotel received turndown service at night and we did not. For the cost of the room these were disappointing. The bell staff was tremendous.

Worst hotel we’ve stayed at, especially compared to other beachside resorts costing over $700/night. 1. The number of rooms (776) far exceeds the capacity of the hotel’s amenities, meaning that the mandatory resort charge is a ripoff 2. In order to get two chairs and an umbrella on the beach we would have had to pay an additional $75/day - that is an insult 3. The pools areas are poorly designed. Too much space devoted to vegetation, windy paths, and high priced cabanas, leaving little space for lounging - the result is in spite of this being a massive resort (btw, very difficult to get around in) everyone is cheek-by-jowl on loungers that are zip-tied together! 4. The food in all restaurants is super high priced, matched only by its mediocrity. It was worth going off property for most of out meals. For the price we paid breakfast should have been included. 5. The market store is chronically understaffed judging by the lines in the morning. Asking for a tip for simply having your order rung up is laughable.

Absolutely fabulous. Only negative was the noise/intense vibrations from the music in the suites close to “The Cave”. There was a wedding after party until 1am on a Friday night and we did not sleep until the party ended. Ask to not be located in the Molokini Wing.

The property and staff were great. My only complaint (and i read this on a review before i went) is the quality of breakfast buffet for the quality. Over 200 when you add thebtip for 3 people was a little out of site for the quality
