Our experience at OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel was confusing, unpleasant, and unprofessional. First, there was a system glitch-possibly related to how hotels.com handles bookings, causing us to placed at the Beachcombers instead of the Reef, which we clearly booked. but the end we received the confirmation for Beachcombers instead. The two stars are purely for the location, as it is conveniently located in the middle of busy and commercialized kalakaua Ave. However, that's where the positives end. The hotel rooms are outdated with poor shower drainage system. Worse part of the experience was paying $50 for valet parking, only to find severe scratch on the driver's side door. The staff were extremely laid-back and dismissive about the situation. We will not return nor recommend this hotel. We Hope Hotels.com can better distinguish between the Reef and Beachcombers in the future.

The pool area is really small but clean. The whole area of Waikiki is VERY expensive. Probably will not go back.

Top Notch Hotel
This hotel is in the middle of the strip everything is walking distance. The Cheesecake Factory is across the street, so many restaurants you can walk to, there's an outside mall with so many restaurant choices and shopping stores. The beach is across the street and it's beautiful. This location is honestly top notch. The staff at the hotel were amazing, cleaning staff came by everyday to clean our room. I was very happy with my stay and I will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Outrigger Beachcomber Waikiki. It’s a well maintained hotel and extremely clean. Housekeeping did an amazing job. The room was spotless from the beginning and they refreshed it every day. The staff are very friendly. As far as location, it’s is right in the middle of Waikiki and within about a block of the beach. There’s a lot of hustle and bustle all around, restaurants, clubs, and shopping, but our room was quiet and relaxing. The only time we ever heard a commotion was when Hawaiian dancers were performing in the International Marketplace, but that was early evening and brought us out of our rooms to see what the celebration was all about. It was welcome, joyful noise. I also felt very safe in and around the hotel and walking the streets alone near the hotel even though it’s very urban. If you’re looking for an excellent hotel in the muddle of Waikiki, I highly recommended Outrigger Beachcomber Waikiki!
