We liked that we didn’t have any neighbors till the second night and we could sit on their private deck till then. We liked the walkway to the beach and the deck chairs halfway down the walkway. We liked that no matter how many times we took our car out, we were charged a flat rate for the valet each night. We thought there was excellent customer service with both the valet and the front desk. The only thing we’d change is the lack of seating in our room. There was one wicker chair in the corner and plenty of room for a lounger but there wasn’t one. It would have been nice too, to have a coffee maker in the room. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!

Great rooms and right on beach , plus they are very environmentally friendly and they plant a tree for every guest . Plus they donate money to children’s fund Very cool vibe, awesome people , really nice place to stay

Nothing like the photos!! First time ever, I am writing a bad review about a property I booked through Expedia. The room was so old and in such a horrible shape. The bed was so uncomfortable, the bathroom wasn’t old was falling apart. The recepcionist mentioned that our room “ was the only NOT renovated”, however it would be better if they don’t offer that room until it’s renovated. The only great about this property was the staff. Brody and Juanita were super nice.

I rented a room with a balcony and it was not what I expected. The room was clean however it had dead plants outside on the back only, paint chipping, and you could see all of the bird poop on the roof that overlooked the water. Staff were great. It just wasn’t easy on the eyes. Wont be booking again

Beautiful view and location. No amenities like TV, phone, WiFi etc. They do plant a tree for each stay. Nice offer but prefer amenities which were lacking.

The ocean view is good, but sound insulation of the room is almost zero. Voices from neighbor room, sound of closing doors from other rooms outside are very much clear in the room. Noises have ruined my holiday plan of sleeping and waking up with the ocean wave sound. Will not choose it again.

Visiting from Colorado and first time at Laguna Surf Lodge. We loved everything about it! Our room was remodeled beautifully and the bed was so comfy/ The location is close to all shops, restaurants and the grocery store. The views are just breathtaking. The beach is steps in front of you with chairs and towels available. The pool and hot tub were great for the kids. The hotel staff are accommodating and friendly. Spectacular place. We will be back annually and next year with friends!

Really nice other than the construction across the street. Wish we were made aware of that before staying. Also highly recommend a top floor unit because the people upstairs were seemingly having a dance competition at all hours of the night.

When we checked in the room was made up beautifully with an aromatherapy diffuser, relaxing music, beautiful ocean view! The service staff was fun and fully accommodating to all our extra needs and questions. There was private beach access with all the beach items you could possibly want. Towels were unlimited as well as coffee tea and filtered water in the lobby.
