The best thing about this hotel is also the worst thing about this hotel. It is on the corner of a freeway on-ramp and busy Blvd. It’s a bit tricky to get in and out of and there isn’t anywhere you would want to walk to. Our room on the 4th floor was freeway-height. If you just need access to 405, this is your place. Also it is located on a main Blvd.
Clearly an older property, we didn’t have any issue with that. We were looking for a lower price point hotel. Room was clean. They did mess up and not have our room scheduled for service our last 2 days and when I brought it to their attention, they comped us our parking for our entire 7night stay, which I appreciated. Mistakes happen; it’s how they address the situation that is important. Staff was very nice.
Continental Breakfast had individually wrapped plain bagels and wheat bread. I appreciated this; less hands reaching in and possibly touching. 2 flavors of chobani, 3 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of jndividually packaged muffins, bananas, oranges, apples, juice, Quaker oatmeal. The hot breakfast was not good and we only ate it the first morning ( scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, sausage patty). We lived on bagels, yogurt, bananas.
Our 2 queen room as small but served us adequately as we typically only need a place to sleep.
No pool. Ample underground parking.
Would we stay here again? No. We would pick a location that suited our family better. Will I continue to stay at Holiday Inn properties; yes I will.
