The location was great, across the road from the The Grove shopping area with lots of places to eat. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately our room was incredibly noisy, we barely slept for our 3 night stay. We could hear the guests next to us and above us banging around until early hours in the morning and car alarms going off in the side street next to us. It was also extremely expensive for what was received, especially after all the added extra fees which were not specified on Expedia prior to booking. This was unfortunately our least favourite accommodation on our California road trip.

For LA, this location is very walkable. Besides the farmers market/grove, you can walk to Swingers Diner or Canter’s Deli, LACMA, Melrose and more. I would highly recommend for first time LA trips

Ok for looks but not convenient
Hotel has nice feel about it. Located a bit out of the way if you dont have a car. Opposite farmers market and the grove so food available. Never used any of the amenities fee as not convenient. I bit overpriced

Very well presented clean hotel. Easy to get to main spots we wanted, walking distance from the grove. Found the Valet service pointless considering you can walk to thebcar faster than a valet getting it out for you. In saying that valets were all friendly. Male receptions were more welcoming than the female ones. Male receptionists always greeted wether coming or going.

Charming property tucked away across from a great Farmers Market and The Grove, an outdoor mall filled with shops and eateries The hotel has a wonderful bar / restaurant . Food is delicious and drinks creative and tasty . The courtyard is a special place to relax and at night it becomes magical . The attention to detail is what helps to make this property shine. Great location in West Hollywood, right across from the Farmers Market which made eating option's easy. Cute boutique property, great happy hour, could be extended until 7pm. Great complimentary coffee in the mornings. Would recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Short Stories! The hotel was just perfect for our quick visit to LA with a 1 year old. Everything felt clean and cared for. The bartender whipped us up a few fabulous cocktails. The Grove is right across the street, plus this location is so close to LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits. Coffee and tea in the morning did not disappoint. The turn down service made you feel welcome to your home-away-from-home. We’ll definitely be back!
