What we liked: Friendly staff and good customer service What we did not like : It is located in a local commercial area with stores but nothing exceptional, no good restaurants around. It was not really near to our port and both taxi or Uber take some time in reaching the hotel so request your ride to the port with time. This hotel is convenient for spending a day after a long flight before taking a cruise if you are not planning to visit the LA main attractions. Our room had a good size and was on first floor next to the pool. We recommend visiting the tourist area of Long Beach which is near by car and enjoy good restaurants, the Aquarium, the mall, the lighthouse and good views.

Nice hotel in not nice area
Nicely appointed and clean. Friendly staff. Bed needs to be updated, mattress was not very comfortable. Not in a great neighborhood tbh, but the hotel itself is safe.

Flip flops or slip on sandals would be appropriate
Our floor was very dirty as constantly showed on socks and bare feet. Bedding and towels seemed clean however. Convenient location for our stay in Long Beach.

Family cruise
We had a good stay at The Cove in the spring prior to our cruise. Back again in the fall. The staff and accommodations were excellent again! Rooms were clean and spacious. Thank you to Bryan in the lobby cafe for keeping the drinks and snacks coming! Will definitely be back!

This was the first hotel I actually felt very safe at. Didn't have to worry about parking my car because it was literally parked right out in front of my room. I asked the efficient when I checked in what was the safest room for a single woman and he put me on the 2nd floor without hesitation. The check out desk is right in front so no one can get in unless you go through them. Overall wonderful stay
