This is a nice hotel, though it does have a bit of a weird sprawling layout. The rooms are a bit small and I wouldn't stay more than a couple of days. I didn't think the value was particularly great. Its convenient for walks along the front and is pretty close to the wharf area for restaurants and shops. Its a decent walk to the aquarium (we had small children with us) but it was pleasant and they got to see the seals on the way, however probably took us 20 mins to get to that area. We used the pool once which was a little cold and you have to walk across one of the 'through' streets to the spa building which is separate from the hotel (as I say..weird layout). The children enjoyed the pool and the hot tub was nice size, neither are particularly big though. We ate at the hotel a couple of times and this was ok though there wasn't a great deal of choice and was relatively expensive. Parking is ok with a parking lot attached to the Spa and we didn't have any issue with this. The hotel is clean with a nice decor and experience, just a little sprawling. We had a pleasant stay and visited Santa Cruise and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park from here as well as Carmel and 17 mile drive, all of which were really enjoyable.
