The location of this property was great, since it was directly across the street from the beach and boardwalk. It was, however, pretty rundown. The bath towels were old and worn out, the couch seemed (smelled) old. The code to the garage didn't work so we couldn't ever get in, which ended up being ok because we were always able to find parking on the street, but could have potentially been an issue. Thankfully for some, the bed in the master was quite comfortable. The tv in the master was one of the old box ones from decades ago, but hopefully no one comes to Newport to watch tv.
There were a few things missing, as well. The ceiling fans and some of the lights were run by remotes, and there were only batteries in one of the remotes so if we ever wanted to turn a fan on or off, we had to switch them all out. In our reservation we noted that we would have 6 women for a 4 night. 5 day stay, and there were only 3 rolls of toilet paper, so we had to supply our own for the last part of the trip. We also ran out of garbage bags.
The location was great. Being close to the boardwalk and beach, and within walking distance of some great coffee shops, restaurants, and bike rental places is definitely a perk. This seems to be one of the more budget-friendly properties, so if that is what you are looking for, this is the place for you!
