I love the quiet low profile buildings, warm with old Florida style, large rooms, attention to detail. Well kept original art work and floor mosaics. Staff seem happier and less corporate pigeon holed to their jobs. Wide beach with trees!!!! and landscaping!!! unlike the sterile grounds of larger more expensive hotels. Details like small and integrated put put golf.. old school shuffle board.. hammocks and well maintained bathrooms.. All of this is in a relaxed tropical island environment. Loved the live music after lunch.... The piano player was great at dinner and the bar. Jobs and intention to details well done. Thank you Returning Florida Resident

Absolutely love staying here! It’s like stepping back in time. A true gem to be found in Fort Lauderdale. Its charming country club vibe is cool. So much to do, pools, beach, volleyball, pickleball, basketball. Great restaurant. If you are looking for something other than the high rise experience in Fort Lauderdale this is such a gem.

Kind of disappointed

Meh! We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary and the room was pretty meh. The bedroom is right next to a hallway so you can't open the windows, making the room quite dark. The property is older, dingy and there isn't anything within walkable distance of any restaurants. The pools and common area are nice, that I recommend.

Nice, but fell short

This place was chaos. Be prepared to share your stay with local club members. It was far from peaceful. The pool was super overcrowded. Chaos everywhere. From kids damaging the putt putt course (not impressive), lunch food taking over an hour to receive 3 days in a row, couldnt get a hotel restaurant reservation, and running out of beach towels. Those were just a few things that were annoying. The location is private, but inconvenient to get to any restaurant or shops. All of the staff were very friendly, pickleball courts were nice, the room was spacious, and the beach area privacy were among the few things that were positive. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again because it was just way too crowded. The kitchen and amenties cannot handle both crowds.
