Excellent hotel. Warm, comfy and quiet room with a designer feel. Modern en suite and large walk in shower. Central location. Parking a little tight with not many spaces but free street parking available.

Beautiful history of the lodge! Delightful hosts. Will stay here again when visiting the UK again.

Stayed for a large family birthday celebration. Allocated private room for the event. Staff very friendly, country side location with large grounds. Overall food was very good (evening meal and breakfast) A great time was had by all.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Otterburn Castle Country House Hotel. Lovely grounds and despite it only being 9th Feb the woodlands and grounds were overed in snowdrops indicating Spring is not far away. At this time of year we stayed ahead of season and there were not too many people here. There is a small bar area and a lovely old world lounge where we sat before and after our evening meal with a few glasses of wine in front of a log fire. The hotel only has about 17 rooms so you are never going to feel overwhelmed, our room was a select room with four poster bed. Lovely and clean. We just stayed the one Saturday night but we had heard that the food was very good and it did not disappoint. Both our starters and main courses were excellent. My wife paid a small supplement to have the steak and she insists it is one of the best she has had. I had the Burger and it really was excellent and again one of the best I have had. The chips were of the 3 times cooked really brown type - gorgeous - and I should also mention the onion rings that were real onion and not mush. The main meals really were very good indeed. Breakfast was also fantastic. Really nice Bacon and the Sausages were quality. The Hash Browns were to die for the best I have tasted, really crunchy and the Mushrooms melted in the mouth - a fantastic breakfast. This is a family run hotel and the staff fell over themselves to make our stay memorable. We had a totally fantastic meal and stay.

5 friends seeking a relaxing getaway and we found this little gem. Booking and communication was excellent we had to change our dates at short notice which was no problem. The lodge was beautiful, so many little touches from decor to candles and was very well stocked with everything you could need. The setting is stunning and we really enjoyed the wildlife and our little red squirrel pal who came each day. Would absolutely stay again.
