Loved my stay at the Crown & Mitre hotel. Convenient for the shops and Cathedral. Clean and very comfortable bed. Food was good too.

Enjoyed stay in well equipped, quiet, clean little room at back of hotel. Really appreciated help from Bryony in finding me a room even when the hotel was fully booked! Friendly, efficient staff, hotel conveniently located and great value for money. Will definitely come back!

Great location in the hub of Carlisle

Langley Castle hotel is a unique opportunity to stay in a 4 star, 600 year old part of history that includes excellent service in every area and top rated dining.

Beautiful grounds with amazing views. Lovely facilities which were clean - the gym and pool were both really clean and well equipped and maintained. The room was comfortable (a few signs of use but nothing major) and clean, a good size and importantly very quiet - had an excellent couple of nights sleep. Breakfast was a buffet which was good but the hot food had been standing for some time as eggs were a bit rubbery and hard although the fried bread was delicious and the selection of fruit, breads and other baked good was excellent. We walked around the grounds on the way-marked trails. We think some of the way markers were missing so had a few areas where we got lost (we did the orange, red and purple walks). On the orange walk in particular orange triangles rather than arrows were used and it was sometimes difficult to work out where to go and on three occasions the path was quite overgrown (totally impassable in one instance so we had to work a way around). That said they were lovely walks - our Garmin watches both measured them as longer than stated. One huge point for us was being able to take our dog and to take him around most areas of the hotel (only the restaurant out of bounds which is absolutely fine as we ate in the bar area). He was welcomed and had a treat and lots of fuss and this really made our stay, thank you!

Another fabulous and comfortable stay. Although this time there were no home made biscuits in the room like the last time I visited here....oh well 😔! Breakfast was excellent and it's very good you now do a simple evening meal option too.
