I never ever complain but our time here was a bit frustrating. We arrived later in the evening and were exhausted. Upon arrival there was a high pitched ringing in our room. The maintenance man who was very kind tried to remedy the situation but to no avail. We switched rooms to one that wasn’t as nice. Plus packing up all of our stuff was quite a pain. We were accommodated but beyond the maintenance man no one else was sympathetic. Even a simple, I’m so sorry, would’ve been appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay. The lobby was beautiful and the front desk was very helpful. We booked a standard room with 2 queen bed, and was very happy with the room size and the fact that it had a bath tub. Initially, we were a little concerned with the sound insulation, as we could hear loud angry parents shouting, but luckily no more sounds after returning from dinner. The other thing to note as some other reviewers have mentioned is the pool and spa is not in the main hotel building. So it was a little awkward and cold to walk over in our robes thru the lobby, across the pedestrian street, to the parking lot building. But we still enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Not many hotels around here had that amenity at this price range. We also enjoyed the location as it was very close to the Old fisherman’s wharf, and walkable to the aquarium, although obviously wish it was even closer. I also heard in the Summertime, there’s a free trolley that takes you to the Aquarium. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we come visit.

This hotel is beautiful and perfectly located in the harbor with excellent amenities, not to mention very dog friendly. If your visiting Monterey Bay, this is the place to stay (a bit pricy, but so is everything in Monterey)

The check in was very slow and very difficult to get service at the front desk throughout our 4 days stay. The bathroom is the only complaint I have of the property. The shower is open and everything in the bathroom gets wet after a shower. The Expedia showed free parking at this property but it wasn’t.

Overall the stay was nice. It was in a great location, the exterior and lobby were pretty and clean but the rooms were mediocre at best, especially for the price. We did appreciate their dog friendliness but next time, we would prefer to stay at a more affordable spot for the accommodations.
