The curtains were broken which made it difficult to shut the light of the Hilton sign out. The toilet moved because to was not properly attached to the wall. There was a lot of noise that made impossible to sleep. So between the light flooding the room the noise and the bed being extremely soft with pillows that were to high, we had limited sleep.

We booked a room for two adults and a ten year old. At check in, we were told the room had only one king bed and if we didn’t want to share, that’d be extra $60/night. They brought a roll out bed that barely fit in the room. To make it work, they moved a big chair against the desk and placed a side table by the entrance. It was ridiculous, felt like we were camping out. We’ve stayed at Hilton many times and there’s always a pull out if we book with a kid. Expecting that 2 adults and 1 pre teen will share a bed is insane.

The Hilton has the best location. It’s right in the city and by the water. The staff and service are amazing and provide excellent service. We had the King room and it was perfect. Great bed we had amazing sleeps, had the city view with the balcony and could see the vibe of Auckland. Would definitely stay again.

For its age still holding up..rooms in good condition, parking a breeze, Restaurant Fish very good food and fairly priced. Unfortunately some of the surrounding restaurants have closed…..leaving some gaps for other dining options.
