Poor service, noisy all night long
It seemed like every person thay worked here was in an incredibly bad mood. The room we were in was right off the lobby. People were in an out all night long. Then the walkway around the outside of the boat had guests or bar patrons walking by and talking all night long and slamming the lobby door. And to top it off, and no this isn't reqlly their fault, there were sea lions that barked all night long. Absolutely the worst experience.

Amazing hotel
What an amazing experience to sleep on a paddle steamer. I could imagine myself being on board as it used to ply the waters from Sacramento to san Fransisco. I can recommend this one for anyone wishing a great experience

We came for a Warriors/Kings game at the Golden One Center and stayed on the Delta King for the night. We were greeted with a complimentary cocktail which we enjoyed on the deck. The main reason we chose the Delta King was because of its proximity to the stadium, but it ended up being such a wonderful stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. We would stay there again! I highly recommend it.

Just need to upgrade to a actual mattress.
The accomodations are next level with Valet,Bag check for early check in and location. The comfort of the room is where it is lacking such as the bed feels like sleeping on a bed spring and the door to the room had a gap about a half inch thick on the top allowing a draft from the water to blast the bed while we slept. The service is awesome though, completely made the stay debatable as to whether or not we return.

Sleeping on the water
Great stay if you are looking for something a little different! I had an injury and our room was 2 floors up (no elevator). It was difficult for me to do stairs. Staff kindly offered us a room change to the floor where the lobby is. We were very grateful. Was a cool place to stay on the water. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Old town Sacramento was a cute, fun town to explore just outside the boat/hotel.

The room was clean. The bed was not very comfortable and a little squeaky. The seals near by barked all night and the boat lighting was too bright making our room lit up even with all the lights off and blinds closed.

This was our third stay at the Delta King and will be our last. We had a riverview room and were kept awake all night by barking seals on the rivers edge. Our car was left with the valet and parked at an offsite garage. In the morning the short tempered and rude desk clerk could not get her computer working to check us and another party out. I guess that did not matter because the valet had not shown up and no one was available to retrieve our car. I asked what time the valet was supposed to come on duty and was told "Seven-ish". It was now 7:30am. I asked if she couldn't just give me my keys and I'd go get the car myself. She said that even if I found my car I would not be able to get it out of the garage. We went ahead and had a mediocre breakfast on the Delta King and afterwards, at 9am, were able to get our car and leave.

it is a historial boat hotel, you can imagine that the room is very small. there are sea seal in the river and yielding whole night, also train pass by is very noise. Room is only available after 4pm.

We've stayed at the Delta King Riverboat Hotel over 60 times since the mid-90's and it's always been very nice. Most rooms are small, but it's an old Riverboat and rooms were small back in the day. Over the years we have had larger rooms, but small is fine with us for a few nights. All staff have always been friendly and helpful. Oh yes, since the boat is floating on the Sacramento River it does move and tilt somewhat, even though it's fully connected to the pier. There always seems to be enough hot water, but at times the pressure is low in the shower. Not so much that you can't get a nice shower each day.
