The hotel staff was amazing! The reason for 4 stars above is the abhorrent behavior of the restaurant staff. I was waiting for my friends, a party of 6. They refused to seat me, one person, because they were short handed. Huh? One person and a cup of coffee? Mind you there were maybe 4 tables filled. Basically empty. There were 3 on the wait staff who brought drinks as the food was buffet style. To say I was angry was an understatement.

I wouldn't call the area unsafe, but you needed to be weary. Parking was in a multi level public structure next to the hotel. Not so great when carrying luggage, or coming in at night

The staff was friendly at the holiday. I loved the pool, love that it was Walking distance to Old Sacramento, shopping and food. We enjoyed our stay here!
