Should have to write something to review the hotel, however here we are. The staff was friendly, valet parking was easy to use, the room was clean and well appointed and laid out. The bathroom was phenomenal, though for the price I would expect a bidet equipped toilet. The shower/soaking tub was great. Only complaint was the AC didn’t seem to want to get the room completely cooled down to the desired setting of 64.

We typically love the Kimpton properties and have traveled with our family to many Kimpton properties. This was not our favorite Kimpton - public areas seemed less clean, the pool had limited hours, and the overall vibe was different being in downtown Sacramento during the weekend. Not a bad hotel at all - it just didn’t meet our expectations.

Checking in we were greeted at Valet by Christiana, She was so welcoming & friendly. Noelle checked us in. Our room had a great view of Golden 1. Perfect to see our concert being set up. Sylvia in housekeeping or maintenance was so helpful. She went out of her way to bring us an item we need to our room out of her way! Beautiful & Accommodating hotel.

All the staff were superbly pleasant and helpful. The hotel and our room were aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. I was surprised how close it is to the event center where we watched a show. My partner and I were very comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Will definitely come back here again and will recommend this to our friends.

Check in was at 4pm and they did not have a room ready until 5:20pm. Multiple people were staying there for a concert and there were no rooms to get ready in. The staff also said no rooms were available for us and then a lady yelled at her because of the inconvenience this has caused. She was able to get a room before all of the other people waiting. So we get punished and moved to the side for being polite and understandable.
