The property seemed okay for the price UNTIL we had a water leak and the staff responded with "That happens. We will get maintainence to look at it." The room above had some type of leak. The result was water running from the ceiling and dripping heavily into our tub and water leaking out of the electric socket by the sink. The non-chalant response was not at all the level of customer service I eoild expect, regardless of the price.

pool and jacuzzi was ok looking the room was dirty and in need of repair smelled its under the fwy homeless rv camp across the street no street lights do not stay here.

As basic, low budget as you can get while still rating in the acceptable description. This hotel is quite old and it appears that way. It's almost a shame they have only done the bare minimum for functional upkeep. Everything about it reeks "as cheap as we can be". Don't get me wrong....I stay here without stress on a regular.... Because it's affordable most days but if I had my own car I would drive up to Carlsbad and stay at the Motel 6 "beaches" it's on average $20 cheaper and it's honestly a 2 star rating jump up in appearance, amenities...free wifi, daily coffee and tea, grocery store with in 2 blocks and less than a 1/2 miles to the sandy beach shore.....
