Kinda old and gross, beds fine. Mold & Mildew.
It needs renovated. Plug ins wouldn’t hold plugs in. Thresholds broken or missing. Cupboards were falling apart and missing pieces. Caulking in bathroom was moldy. And bath tubdrain pipe released moldy gunk when filling for bath. Ac filter was stinky. Parking was ok, location was sketchy. Pool was underneath a two store shady restaurant with dilapidated sign that didn’t look safe to swim under. Bed and pillows were fine and comfortable.

The check in and check out was smooth and easy. The staff were friendly. Parking was free, that’s a plus for me. Breakfast was fine just wish the eating area was bigger. Overall good.

The property was extremely dated. Many of the hardware items located inside the room (faucets, knobs) were broken, leaking, or malfunctioning. Unfortunately, the conditions of the property translate over to the staff with their overall demeanors and and customer care. The property is located near everything. Plenty of restaurant options, convenience stores, and sightseeing are available within walking distance. The property would benefit from a bit of modernization and some staff retraining.

If want bargain hotel is good. No elevator to second floor. No protein for breakfast. Property in general was dirty. Not what expected for howard johnson. There was several food options close by. Convenient to old town and not far from seaworld.

Don’t book. You were warned.
Where do I start? 1. It is SO NOISY! Not because of the traffic. The doors don’t open and close properly so people are slamming their doors to close. The door handle doesn’t open and close. You have to push the door open with your body. 2. There was a homeless man sleep right across our room. Although he never bother my kids and I, you never know. 3. Parking gets full then you have to park on the street. 4. Breakfast was good if you want to fight people to move around. The area is tight and they squeezed all these table to accommodate but no way of walking around. 5. The water has a strong sulfur smell. You need to run the water for a bit to get rid of the smell. One night was enough for us. We decided to check out early and found a different hotel. Just be because it’s close to everything, spend the extra money or drive to feel like you’re in a safe spot.

Nice location for using public transportation. Pool was refreshing and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate - typical waffles, bagels, yogurt, etc. Area around hotel seemed safe and quiet.

The amenities described were not accurate, i reserved 2 rooms. On one of them the E.lock kept getting stuck. Absolutely not worth $250 a night per room

Don’t stay here it’s horrible
It’s a shame to call this place a Howard Jonson by Wyndham. This place by far was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Room smelled like mold, shower had really bad paint chip everywhere AC didn’t work and TV didn’t work. Manager blamed the Comic-con happening that weekend for the conditions of the hotel room also no room service unless requested. Requested new room and it was in the exact same condition.

Definitely will not stay there ever again. Door lock to room was bent and warped rendering it unable to lock properly. Looked as if someone had tried to break in and it wasn't repaired. Upon asking to switch rooms, while the staff did accommodate and change the room, it was done with contempt. Curtains next to air conditioner were moldy.

At least the price is reasonable...
Stayed in two rooms. One smelled strongly like smoke. Hair dryer didn't work in either room. King room on the second floor was surprisingly spacious. Area is pretty terrible. Lots of homeless nearby and crack pipes in the grass outside. Price was better than almost anything else nearby.

I wonder if the other rooms tubs were simple l
The room was clean. The main issue were the bathtub and shower faucet handle. The tub seemed as though it was caving in, and was very uneven and discolored. The handle had to be really tightened to prevent a steady drip, and it was hard to open it to use it. It worked, but was not very safe feeling or convenient. I thought about changing rooms, but they were all booked up.

Dirty and disgusting
Do not stay at this hotel, its disgusting, we felt unclean just staying there, its nothing as described on the website or photos. Its old, bathroom fittings falling apart, dust, dirt, stains, sofa bed had not been made or changed in a very long time, overall i would've of stayed here if we had any choice to leave straight away. But during comic con in San diego you have no were else to go. The staff where rude and abrupt, its like once they were finished with you, conversation was ended. I would go on but overall dont stay here and choose some place else.
