Very Disappointing and not worth what we paid
I appreciated the shower in the master bedroom and the bed was relatively comfortable.
Other than that we are not happy with the unit we stayed in and it was not worth the amount of money we paid for it.
We weren't able to check in at 3:00 p.m. as promised, and we instead had to check in at 3:30 p.m.
There was a smell like there was a lot of some cleaning agent used to clean that was overbearing
There was a broken electrical outlet cover in the master bedroom and scuff marks all over the walls. This unit was not well cared for and was.
The toilet near the master bedroom is in a very cramped space and was hard to get to-you had to close the door first just to get toilet- my wife banged her head trying to maneuver out of it and has a goose egg because of it.
The doors in the master bedroom don't slide easily and some of the kitchen windows slide too easily-we struggled sometimes to unlock sliding screen doors.
The kitchen table is in a tight space and the pictures made it look more spacious than it was.
The couch was old and you kind of sank into it-it was grimy.. On vacation I love to nap on the couch. I avoided this couch.
I was stressed out in this unit which in my opinion was worth half what we paid for it.
We have stayed in a similar place up the bay that was more well kept a few years ago, as well as other homes in Galveston Montreal and Orlando. I always felt we got our money's worth and didn't feel the same way with this unit. This unit is dilapidated and I didn't catch that in the photos or I wouldn't have chosen it.
I brought this to the manager's attention and she only offered to fix the electrical outlet cover and damp mop again. I asked for a small gesture like a pass for my kids at local amusement park up the road ($58.00 total for both). That request didn't even get a response.
I feel ripped off. My cousin lives in San Diego and we got together when we were visiting. After seeing the place she offered to check places out in advance when we visit again. It's unfortunate that we should need someone to help us that way. You should take better care of a place for the amount of money we paid for it.
