Mediocre for the price.
We arrived after 3pm and was told I room was not ready and we would have to wait 1 hour. No offer of a credit or coupon for coffee/drink for our inconvenience after a day of travel. I asked for it after 1 hour of waiting. The room was clean. Good location for walking to gas lamp area. Not sure I would stay here again.

Just had a great stay at the Westin. From the lovely young lady at the desk who first greeted me to the gent who checked my luggage, staff is just top notch. The complimentary happy hour selection was a little limited (flatbread and pizza) but still thoughtful with a choice available for non-meat-eaters. The bed was so comfy I didn’t want to leave! The walk to the convention center was 20 minutes, very doable, and the water and Balboa park are even closer. I did ask to have the room cleaned daily and it wasn’t (trash wasn’t emptied) but fresh towels were provided so definitely not hard to take. I’m not sure what the $25 a day is for on top of what I paid for the room but overall a nice stay.

I love this area! It was very easy to get around without a car. There's a lot to do that's in walking distance. Public transportation is accessible too.

I did not know the property does not have parking- it is valet only. I requested a different room after they placed us beside elevator and ice room but was denied as they save quiet rooms for pilots.
