We didn’t have a good stay. The heat was not working in the hotel. The breakfast that was offered was awful. There was no room service. The hotel is rundown and overpriced.

We needed a hotel to stop at for the night from traveling and we chose this hotel and I'm so glad we did. It was stunning from the outside to the inside. It was relaxing, couldn't hear anyone and the beds were actually comfy which is rare. I'm so bummed we only stayed one night but would stay here for a weekend next trip.

Cozy, clean and great staff! Dennis was amazing and set the standard from the minute we arrived. He was super friendly and informative . The staff at the hotel restaurant was equally pleasant. We will definitely stay here next time we visit San Jose.

A beautiful historic building with nice enough rooms, but the staff upon registration was not nice at all, and there were no good options for dining. One restaurant on property with limited hours and it was very cold (we were told there were issues with the HVAC system.) There is no complimentary coffee in the public areas. Since the restaurant has limited hours there are snacks and drinks (canned and bottled) for sale in the lobby. There were bottles of wine for sale in the lobby, as well. We asked if there were any cups or glasses and were told we could use paper cups from our room (which was located in a separate building, not convenient for staying in the "parlor area" of the lobby and sharing a glass of wine.) I loved the building and grounds but won't be returning to this property.

Forgot my shampoo and conditioner. Product in the room was really not great. Towels were not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber and the shower wasn’t draining properly. The rest of the room was great. Clean, quiet and very nice.

Our car was broken-in despite being parked in the monitored hotel parking. I am deeply disappointed in the hotel and can’t believe something like this could happen. The area is very unsafe and there is not enough security.
