Just what we were looking for for a trip to the Santa Cruz area. Family wasn’t planning on spending much time in the hotel, so we just needed a place with free parking, a decent free breakfast, pool and space in the room. All of that was taken care of here.

The most horrible hotel experience I have ever had
Everything about the stay there was a complete nightmare!!! The manager is horrible. The staff is horrible. They were lying to us, giving us the runaround and even keyed into our room without even a knock. Staff watched my husband walk out of the room and as soon as he got out of sight, the staff member keyed right in while I was in there waiting for my husband! No knock it was absolutely horrifying!

Room was not ready for an hour after check in time. Payment process was very slow and inaccurate. Microwave 'popcorn' setting was too high and burnt the popcorn. Room was missing sheets for pull out bed.

My son and I stayed here for one night so we could view UC Santa Cruz's campus. While we were asleep the bathtub backed up with sewage. I took pictures and showed the front desk attendant. She tried to find a vacant room for us to shower in, but there wasn't one available. Because we booked through Expedia we have to get the refund through them, and guess what, there's no way to expedite the situation through Expedia! What a waste of my money and points! I won't be booking through this sight again!!
