Short stay for small family of three. Area surrounding the hotel feels a bit dirty and seedy but we encountered no trouble ( gives out a bit more working class genuine vibe compared with the CBD area) Room very small but clean hard for more than one person to move around. Staff seemed uniterested unless the boss was there ( he also was happy to give us late check-out which I was pleased with. Transport options are busses about a 5 minute walk if you can work out the timetable or mrt which goes past marina bay about 15 minute walk. Overall if you go in knowing it's a budget hotel you will be ok.

For a solo traveller that like to save more its fine. But the price isnt convenient at all to stay. Rooms are too small like the size of a bathroom. Tv isnt working and wifi as well for a price of 188$ per night. Bed are terrible . Overall a 0.5 star.

I stayed five nights at this hotel. The entire property was clean and tidy. The room, especially the bathroom was quite small. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel had no city maps

there is no window. room is tight, but clean. bathroom had no divider between the shower and toilet bowl so water drip all over the bathroom floor. staff are helpful.

Very poor customer service especially at midnight
The reception staff mentioned they did not received booking details from hotel.com. I had to again from pocket during check in as they demanded as I had no other option at midnight. I showed the email confirmation from hotel.com and also showed the proof of phone call and email to the recetion of hotel.com a week ago. They did not wanted to accept anyway that I had a paid booking. During checkout time they apologised and returned money. I am not sure whose fault it is, hotel 81 or hotel.com. But at midnight with family including small child, this kind of issues are frustrating. I will not recommend either of the hotel or the booking provider to anyone. Very poor customer service especially at midnight with small child.

Small room but great AC
Basic hotel, quite far from the centre of Singapore but easy to get to by MRT. Room and bathroom were very small but facilities in room were good. Most importantly the AC in the room was very good, which was really important during Singapore’s hot weather.

Long stop over… really bad times got in very later than good they have all night reception. Friendly staff. Small room bed was firm but ok. Shower .TV. Close to restaurants to get some lunch and dinner
