There was a little hiccup during check-in, and the Manager (I think), John, offered to upgrade us from a one-bedroom suite to a three-bedroom suite. Initially, we were hesitant to accept the offer as it was not what we had booked for. John and his colleague, Julienna, were nice enough to tell us that they would be able change rooms for us if we were not comfortable.
We were really amazed by the sheer size of the room, and decided to stay on. The room was comfortable and large, and that gave the three of us space to relax and do our own things in our own spaces. I particularly liked the Bose sound system.
A few days before arrival, our PA, Ms. Yoshie, emailed me to ask if I had any special requests. She was very prompt in her responses. Upon knowing that we had a little unpleasant experience at check-in, she offered us complementary breakfast at The Knolls, which we really appreciated. She was prompt and polite in all her responses, and the best thing was that we got to meet her in person.
The hotel grounds is very well-maintained and the proximity to Palawan Beach means our whole family could go for our morning and night walks/jogs. Lots of greenery on the grounds helps us relax. We loved that our suite faces lots of greenery.
For more than a decade, we would spend at least one of our holidays each year at another resort at the other end of Sentosa, but after the stay at Capella, my husband has decided THIS will be our designated family "retreat" venue from now on.
