I guess you could call this hotel a real ‘hidden gem’, as they actually position a staff member to look out for people trying to find the hotel from the street! It looks like a cinema/theatre, which it once was I believe, and so with the sign being quite small and unobtrusive, we were one of those looking for the hotel! The staff were wonderful and beautifully presented and helpful. The room was large (we had an accessible room I think) and moodily decorated and furnished (funky probably). The bed was super comfortable (we like mattresses on the softer side) and there were plenty of seating options. The bathroom was large but we found there were not enough places to hang hand towels or bath towels. Shower was nice and open although the sink was a funky design that we didn’t like. As I said, the room was dark and moody, although if you went to the bathroom in the night and turned on the light, it shone through the glass dividing shelves lighting up the bedroom! The shelves looked good though! Pulling the curtains closed was quite difficult as they were heavy block out curtain floor to ceiling but behind the built in desk and bar and wall tv, which made it very awkward. There was a heavily stocked fridge and mini bar but no price list and no indication if anything was free, so we didn’t touch any of it. Beautiful wardrobe with light upon opening and safe and ironing board etc within. Fantastic position close to transport and shops and restaurants- well worth a stay.

Great vibe though hard to find using Google maps have to keep walking further from where Google pins the hotel. Room is moody , but found the king size bed on the hard side. Glass entry to the bathroom is sexy but shows build up of dust . Didn't get to try the bath tub but looks to be only small bath tub for 1 . I would stay again & try the bar & breakfast buffet next visit . Thank you to staff at reception who though no fault of themselves unable to find my booking , glad they were able to resolve the problem, l could check in .

Excellent staff, particularly Andy, who are warm, friendly and always assist, often taking the initiative before a request is made. The property is cool, quirky and boasts lots of interesting decor. The location is excellent, being literally next door to the state theatre, with Westfield and numerous shopping options at your door step.

Nice hotel. Probably a little too cool for me but it is well located, rooms are a good size, staff are good and room service efficient. No complaints really. The only minor thing is that they do not have a gym. You do get access to a Fitness First nearby instead but not quite the same. Overall a good stay and I would definitely book again.

The motel, and room, had personality - it didn't feel like I was in an airport departure lounge. There's a motel just up the road from QT that feels just like that. I would happily stay again.
