The view on 3rd floor was great. No thermostat or air conditioning in the room. Nice clean bed and Newly renovated bathroom and hallways. Shower head was leaking behind the wall causing mold that we were reacting to. Staff was nice and continental breakfast was good. Closet doors would not function and the deck should of been freshly painted and maintained. Could be an amazing property with regular maintenance and more updates.

We had a balcony room on the second floor. Next time I’ll stay on the third to feel a little safer about keeping the slider open while we sleep. Incredible sunset views and chill beach vibes. A little dated with the wallpaper and carpet, but got a kick out of the wardrobe. There was no hot water the two nights we stayed, but overall enjoyed this location.

The location can NOT be better. It is fabulous. The price is more than fair. The rooms are little rundown. Our fireplace didn’t work. The small exterior heater didn’t work. The furniture on the balcony was very old, dirty and is disrepair. But all of those negatives didn’t matter. The views were tremendous. The proximity to the ocean (30 seconds walk from room to beach), the sounds of the crashing waves, the quaintness of the neighborhood and the more than fair price made it worth it.

If you love the water/waves and to see an amazing sunset, this hotel is for you. If you however like amenities and luxury, it is not. We loved our stay as it served the purpose, an overnight date away from work and business, to spend quality time, relax and enjoy the beautiful pacific ocean. The free parking and coffee in the morning was an added bonus.

The staff were great and the rooms are absolutely perfect cuz the balconies overlooking the beach. It was a very quiet peaceful stay and with the sounds of the ocean right outside your door it just made it that much more wonderful.

Two nights on the beach
When they say "One the Beach" they mean you are right on the sand when you step out the front door. Wonderful location and a beautiful view of the entire beach. The are surrounding the hotel was also very lively with a good choice of restaurants, The recommendation from our host for the Italian restaurant across the beach was much appreciated - great meal. I would definitely recommend the Inn on the Beach for a stay in the Ventura area. Thanks for having us.

The location of this property is amazing. Great beach views. Easy walk to good restaurants. Rooms are outdated style, but they are clean and comfortable. On a busy street, but it was quiet at night and the sound of the waves is amazing.
